long wet days

It has been a painfully long, full school year, but it is nearly at it's end, which I am delighted about. Not that I will be relaxing in the sun... I will work all of June and July, but I welcome the change of scenery, and a break from an often negative environment.
Is it just my neck of the woods, or has all this recession business got people showing their worst sides? It seems everyday there is something new to complain about, and while I so love complaining, I get tired of people complaining and not trying to change anything.

Maybe the weather is just the last straw.... we cannot possibly be expected to put up with this all 'summer'!

I have been working at trying new things and continue my attempts at being healthier... I just finished a 10-week sewing course with my 13-year-old daughter, which I really enjoyed. We both made skirts, as well as figuring out how to make alterations and use the sewing machine properly. Next it's Project Runway!

I have also been trying to get a small show of my 365 project hung (see my flickr site for these self portraits) and am working on a painting exhibition along side some of my students for the Environmental Summer School in Lanesboro this summer...
So, my days have been full, and not the regular repeats for which this blog was named. (yes!)
